--C Greg Oden , out this season after microfracture knee surgery, made the recent trip with Portland. The 7-foot rookie was asked about a 32-inch sandwich he was seen with in the hotel lobby in New Orleans.
"They told me the Po' Boy was the signature New Orleans sandwich," Greg Oden said. "I said, 'Give me your biggest one.' It was the size of my leg. I was only able to eat half of it."
Oden, still restricted from running, has hit the weights hard and is up to 290 pounds.
"Before I start running, I have to lose some weight," Oden said. "I'm pretty big. Nobody can really see, but this shirt is half a hot dog away from busting."
--Portland is 12-12 in games in which it has been behind at halftime, and has won an NBA-high nine games when trailing after three quarters.
